
The PRIJUS project directly contributes to the achievement of national strategic objectives as outlined in the Catalogue of Goals and Indicators of the Ministry of Science and Education (October 2024), namelay: (SC1) Enhancing Scientific Excellence and (SC4) Strengthening Social Responsibility. Additional objectives include the improvement of legislative solutions, the promotion of a legal culture responsive to evolving needs, and the establishment of a foundation for further academic and institutional engagement in the development of an inclusive, transparent, and technologically adapted legal system.
Accordingly, the expected outcomes of the project are as follows:
- A critical analysis of legal institutions that represent obstacles to the adaptation of the Croatian legal system to contemporary challenges,
- A critical analysis of ownership rights, digital assets, artificial intelligence, and sui generis entities within the context of the current Croatian private law system, including de lege ferenda proposals for aligning the Croatian legal framework with European and international standards,
- An assessment of the effectiveness of procedural law reforms and an analysis of the availability and use of digital tools in the judiciary of the Republic of Croatia, together with de lege ferenda proposals for legislative and institutional improvements in civil and extrajudicial proceedings,
- De lege ferenda proposals and recommendations aimed at strengthening the participation of children and persons with disabilities and ensuring their equal access to justice, and
- An analysis of legal culture and the curricula of integrated law studies in the Republic of Croatia, including an assessment of the educational elements that have the greatest impact on critical thinking, legal knowledge, ethics, and inclusivity, a comparison with foreign practices, the identification of shortcomings, and recommendations for curriculum reform as part of a broader judicial reform and enhancement of Croatian legal culture.
